Yes, I’m doing this album/group of singles all on my own for the most part here in my basement studio (The Racket Shack), but it’s great to have a community to be able to learn from and bounce ideas off of.
This young lady goes by the handle @SEIDS. When I first got back into recording with Logic Pro on the Mac, I was constantly fumbling around for “how to do this, where is that tool, why doesnt thing work?” and so on. Seids’ videos were a huge help. I even joined her little fan club and bought her super useful PDF book.
So once in a while, she does these live streams where her followers post songs, she plays a little clip and provides a little feedback. I was just getting ready to post my song, Rocket Scientist, and thought, “hey, I’ll post it and see if she plays/reviews it”… She did! and her advice was great. I was so close to the song that i didnt realize that if I just barely bumped the vocal volume and slightly backed of my overdrive, the vocals would sit better with the guitars.
I stopped my scheduled push to distribution, opened up Logic, tweaked the vocal chain, then listened on every speaker I had…It was way better. So I pushed it to live. It should be ready to share this week!
All you at home Logic Pro Producers, go check out https://www.seids.co/ and get her PDF of tips and tricks, well worth it!
Thanks Seids, and no you don’t get a co-producer credit, haha.
